Vaccine Advocacy Learning Community

We’re currently building a new online community for North Dakotans looking to learn more about vaccines — including the history of immunization, safety monitoring, mRNA technology, identifying and navigating mis- and disinformation, and more. Participants will gain more knowledge about vaccines and learn more about sharing what they’ve learned with others. This community is free for all to join and will feature monthly hour-long virtual conversations on rotating subjects.

WHEN

This learning community begins in September 2024 and runs through April 2025 and will include hour-long interactive virtual sessions held over the lunch hour. Exact dates to be determined.

WHAT

Each session will feature vaccine education from a topic matter expert, opportunities for discussion, and training on grassroots advocacy techniques to help folks move from, “Someone should do something about this!” to “I can do something about this!”

Participants will also receive curated resource lists prior to each monthly session, so everyone is prepared to engage with others and deepen their knowledge.

Why

Our vision is to make North Dakota the healthiest state in the nation. Our ultimate goal with the VALC is for participants to complete the series feeling more knowledgeable about vaccines and prepared to advocate for policies that protect community health.

Who

While health professionals are of course welcome to join us, this learning community is designed for community members and non-medical professionals.

HOW

Fill out the form below to join our sign-up list! You’ll then receive up-to-date information via email about the virtual sessions as we finalize dates and times.
